Not Your First DUI? Seek Help From Our DUI Attorney.

If you have already experienced a DUI related charge in the past, you might be well-versed in the DUI process. The major difference between the first and second offense are the associated penalties, along with the decrease in leniency from the prosecutors. The first offense may portray you as a person who simply made a mistake, while the second offense labels you as a person with a potentially serious drinking problem.

Each ensuing offense only gets worse, so it’s imperative to have an experienced lawyer by your side to demonstrate to the court that you’re still a human being who made another mistake, not a criminal. Our Southwest Ohio attorneys have comprehensive knowledge of the legal system to protect your rights.

Penalties For Multiple DUI

Ohio has guidelines for determining what you’ll be charged according to how many offenses you committed in the past. You may face mandatory jail time, a driver intervention program, multiple fines, suspended license, special plates, treatment, an interlock device for your care, or even forfeiture of your vehicle.

The following are the penalties for each offense, along with their associated punishments:

  • Fines up to $1,625
  • License suspension up to five years (You may regain limited driving privileges after 45 days)

  • Attain an alcohol assessment and complete any recommended treatment or education programs
